CSC evolved from the recognition of the often complex and dynamic issues faced by the one million plus high school and junior college student-athletes and their parents and guidance counselors when selecting the most appropriate college for their specific athletic and academic interests. With over 2,000 colleges in the U.S. and Canada, it is nearly impossible to identify all of the unique academic and athletic opportunities offered by a variety of geographically diverse colleges. CSC was designed specifically address these issues in an easy- to-use format, which contains important advice for parents and student.

An interesting and unique feature of CSC is the historical information provided about individual college mascots. This information was developed by Professor Roy Yarbrough, Director of Sport Management at California University of Pennsylvania, and his wife, Claudia. Their inspiring work provides some fascinating insight into the wonderful and often unexpected history of these mascots.

Since our energy is dedicated to serving the needs of our visitors we regularly update the CSC content in the database to be as current and relevant as possible and we are also continually striving to develop ways to improve CSC’s value to you.
